[Full-time] Business Analyst at Akari Software Ltd. in Cork

As part of that continued expansion, we are looking to recruit a Business Analyst.
Business Analysts function as designers of solutions to suit business needs of customers. The person will perform accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of customer issues and manage day-to-day customer relationships at peer customer levels.
Analysts determine if customer needs can be delivered using existing functionality, as part of the core product development roadmap or as custom software developments.
They work closely with the Software Engineering, Sales and Customer Service functions while developing knowledge of the Higher Education sector and relevant tools and methods.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Analysing customer requirements 30% TIME
2. Designing, prototyping, testing, training, and documentation 50% TIME
3. Managing day-to-day customer relations 20% TIME
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
Either: Honours Degree in a Computing Discipline AND a Postgraduate qualification in a Business Discipline
Or: Honours Degree in a Business Discipline AND a Postgraduate qualification in a Computing Discipline
2.2 or better in Primary Degree
At least 2 years Business Analysis experience related to web-based systems in an Agile software development environment
Desirable
Knowledge of ColdFusion, MySQL and Oracle
Knowledge of Higher Education administrative processes
Knowledge and Core Skills
Verbal and written communication skills, particularly the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Presentation skills
